Dear Haijin, visitors and travelers,

It has been a long time that I have had the time to write a post here at Carpe Diem Haiku Family I am very busy with our “big brother” daily haiku-meme Carpe Diem Haiku Kai in which I just have started with a new month full of wonderful prompts. This month it is all about “impressionism” at Carpe Diem Haiku Kai.
Therefore I have chosen to do a new “shadows” episode here with one of our famous (post-impressionism) painters in the lead, Vincent Van Gogh. He has painted wonderful pieces and he was in a way part of the “impressionistic wave” in art as we can see in a lot of his paintings. As for example in this one: Olive Trees with Yellow Sun and Sky. Vincent gives us an impression of what he sees and makes use of the light of the day …
Try to write a new haiku (or tanka) inspired on this painting by Vincent van Gogh.

This episode of our “shadows” feature here at our Carpe Diem Haiku Family is NOW OPEN for your submissions and will remain open until February 10th at noon (CET). Have fun!
